Acting Naturally to Present “Oliver!” at Historic Newtown Theatre!

The incredible musical journey of Oliver Twist comes to Bucks County as Lionel Bart's "Oliver!" takes the stage at the historic Newtown Theatre for five performances starting Thursday, December 13th at 7:30p.m. “OLIVER!”, based on the Dickens novel, is the story of a young orphan boy who wanted “more.” From the orphanage to the mean streets of London, the ever-optimistic Oliver strives to survive through thick and thin meeting such memorable characters as Nancy, Fagin, Bill Sikes and the Artful Dodger along the way. Delightful, engagingly powerful and ultimately uplifting, “OLIVER!” is an unforgettable, feel good story of a remarkable young boy looking for a place to call home.

Presented by Acting Naturally, the productions magical score is full of Lionel Bart's irresistible songs including ‘Food Glorious Food', 'Consider Yourself’, ‘You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two’, ‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘As Long As He Needs Me’, ‘Where Is Love’ and many more. The title role, Oliver Twist, will be played by Yardley’s Matthew Krauss. Other lead characters will include:  Sheldon Bruce Zeff of Newtown (Fagin); Tressa McAllister Scibilia of Willow Grove (Nancy); Jimmy Elwell of Yardley (Dodger); San Frenkel of Philadelphia (Mr. Bumble) and Bryan DeSanto of Philadelphia (Bill Sykes).
