Clark Nature Center Restoration Project

This project is funded by a grant provided by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful and the Community Conservation Partnership Program, Environmental Stewardship Fund, under the administration of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.  The Program is designed to provide community groups with project supplies for outdoor based work events within a Greenway enabling the renewal of Pennsylvania’s Greenways in need into something beautiful.

Invasive plant removal and subsequent tree planting will occur during one weekend at the Clark Nature Center.  The invasive plant removal will occur on Saturday, November 12th  and the tree planting on Sunday November 13th.   Activities will be conducted from 9AM – 1PM.  Volunteers should meet at 8:45AM in the parking area at Clark Nature Center, located at 235 Durham Road (S.R. 413), Newtown Township, Bucks County.  For directions and more information, please contact Perry Katz at pk1956@verizon.net.

Volunteer help is needed and greatly appreciated.  All volunteers should dress for safety by wearing long pants/shirts, good fitting work gloves if you have them, and sturdy shoes.  Volunteers must complete a waiver form, and youth volunteers ages 12-17 must complete a waiver form with signed parental consent prior to participating.  Safety vests, gloves, bags and refreshments will be provided.  Some tools will be provided but volunteers should feel free to bring their own.
