NEWTOWN, PA, January 24, 2013 – Harry Rose, Chairman of The Rose Group, a leading franchisee of Applebee's Grill & Bar and Corner Bakery Cafe, was given the President’s Award from the Newtown Business Association (NBA) at Chandler Hall on January 22. The President’s Award recognizes an NBA member whose dedicated leadership and outstanding contribution exemplifies the spirit of giving back to the community by making the services of his/her business available to support charitable and nonprofit endeavors.

Jason Rose, Vice President of Real Estate and Development for The Rose Group, accepted the award on behalf of Harry Rose. In Jason’s acceptance speech he highlighted the numerous charitable initiatives that The Rose Group implements to give back to the community. A noteworthy example he cited locally is how the Newtown Applebee’s raised over $40,000 in 2012 alone.

Through various activities and fundraisers, The Rose Group is committed to showing its support to different organizations at each of its locations. Since opening in July, the Newtown Corner Bakery Cafe participated in many community events to support non-profit organizations in the short time that the store has been open.
