well bottom line I blame the parents ....look at how their lives were going...guns and knives throughout the house along with marijuana and they resisted arrest.....doesn't sound like things were going to well in this household...and as parents? please!

This is what i mean he had hand guns. So what happens after they ban assault weapons and in 2 years from now when people do the same stuff with hand guns again. The only way to stop this threat is armed security officers in plain clothes patrolling schools

Apparently there was a rumor about a student at Neshaminy carrying a gun yesterday they investigated said it was not credible....but the police have extra security at the school today...per my daughter there was supposedly a fight between a student from Neshaminy and CR and there was going to be a retaliation but they said this was all unfounded after they investigated......This crap is out of control how are we as parents supposed to go about our day and jobs when we are worried to death every day for our childrens safety

Please keep in mind that mental health issues were involved in last week's incident and try to be respectful. I know this is scary, but a 14 y o. does not have the judgment skills of a 30 yo. Let's get the whole story before we throw too many stones.

Its up to parents to teach morals and respect. But then again if you don't respect your kids enough to teach the right from wrong and how to be happy, how are they supposed to respect themselves and be happy?
Maybe G-d should create everyone infertile and after passing a qualification exam and only after passing successfully, should anyone be able to procreate. There's a concept.

Unfortunately, the last part of the brain to develop is the part that understands and governs the notion of consequence....that gets teenagers in trouble on many levels. That being said, whether a child appears normal or has a history of developmental/emotional issues, it is paramount that parents set good examples and, more importantly, pay attention to their children. Truly well grounded kids don't suddenly plot to do unspeakable things. Those acts are the culmination of other problems.
