April 26: School Board to Meet

Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown.

 

 

1. There's a good chance that more rain is headed our way today. Forecasters predict there's an 80 percent chance of rain and thunder with temperatures in the low 60s.

2. The Council Rock School Board meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Chancellor Center. The board will consider a preliminary budget. Click here for details.

3. The Bucks County Community College Percussion Ensemble will perform a free concert this evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Newtown Campus' Presser Music Room. Click here for more information.

4. The Temperance House is hosting Jazz Celebration Big Band tonight beginning at 8 p.m. Jazz Celebration Big Band is a 17-piece jazz orchestra performing the repertoire of Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich and more. Tickets are $10. 

5. Need a break? Scardino Family Chiropractic is hosting Girls Night Out tonight from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The free event will feature complimentary chair massages, parafin hand treatments, refreshment, prizes and more.
