1. Expect more sunshine and seasonal temperatures today. The forecast is calling for sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s.
2. Two Newtown Parks and Recreation dance classes begin tonight at Goodnoe Elementary School. The Beginner Latin and Hustle Dance Class starts at 7 p.m. and the Beginner West Coast Swing and Ballroom Dance Class starts at 8 p.m. Visit www.newtownfun.com for more information or to register.
3. Registration is open for the Nor’Wester Readers' Family Dog Walk, which will be held Sunday at Tyler State Park. Nor’Wester Readers is a canine assisted learning program that works in area school districts, including Council Rock. There will be a three-mile walk and a half-mile mini walk. The cost to participate is $15 per person, $25 for a parent and child and $50 for a family. Click here to download the registration form.
4. The Newtown Student Theatre Festival opens today at the Newtown Theatre. The five-day event will feature participation from 19 area high schools. Click here for details.
