August 6: Missing Cat, Class Lists and Geocaching
Essential information about the day ahead in Newtown.
1. UPDATE: The missing cat has been found. A white and gray cat is missing from the Wrenwood neighborhood in Wrightstown Township. The cat has been missing since the end of July. Click here to see the posting on our announcments page.
2. Newtown Township Parks & Recreation kicks off their geocaching camp this morning at 9 a.m. Geocaching is a "scavenger hunt that utilizes a handheld GPS unit, a good set of eyes, and a bit of hiking around," according to the event listing posted by the township.
3. A high of 88 degrees with a "slim chance" of showers can be expected today, according to the National Weather Service. Some light clouds are predicted to roll in during the evening hours.
4. The Council Rock School District will be releasing class and team lists to students and parents via the Home AccessCenter today.

I think this is a great feature Patch does getting the word out about missing pets. Glad to hear of a happy ending.
