Bank Robbery at First Federal in Wrightstown

The incident occurred this evening and required K9 units to the scene.

 

A bank robbery occurred at First Federal Bank in Wrightstown this evening around 7 p.m. No one was injured, according to police.

According to information from the Breaking News Network, a person wearing a navy blue jacket and armed with a gun fled with an unknown amount of money.

Newtown Township Police Department responded to the scene. Additional K9 units were called to the crime scene, the Breaking News Network said.

According to its website, First Federal's Wrightstown branch is open until 7 p.m. Fridays. 

Police did not provide additional information at the scene. However, a police department official later confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.

It sounds like the bomb threat called in at at St. Mary Medical Center Friday evening may have been to distract the attention of the local police/officials to allow the bank robber to successfully get away...the timing is too coincidental!
