BCCC Offers Testing Services to Students from Other Schools
If you need to take a proctored exam, convenient hours and experienced staff are available at BCCC’s Newtown campus
More than six million students take at least one course online, according to a recent survey by the Sloan Consortium. Although online learning is convenient, many courses require students to take exams in a testing center monitored by a proctor. Students can turn to Bucks County Community College to take those exams, regardless of where they are enrolled.
“Our Newtown Testing Center has an experienced proctoring staff, a quiet and secure testing environment to take an exam, and day, evening, and Saturday hours to meet everyone’s needs,” said Aaron Krassner, the college’s Director of Testing. “We are a member of the National College Testing Association and are listed on their website as an official testing site.”
The Testing Center at Bucks administers a wide range of exams, from hard-copy paper tests and computer-based exams for courses, to certification tests for various organizations. There is a modest fee for each exam.
Students who wish to use the Testing Center must inform their school or organization and fill out the paperwork required by their institution, explained Krassner. No appointment is needed, but students should arrive with enough time to take their exams before closing time.
The Testing Center, which is open Monday through Saturday, including several evenings, is located in room 100 of the Rollins Center on the campus at 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown, Pa. For more information, call 215-968-8466, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.bucks.edu/testing.
