Borough Republicans Seeking Candidates for Local Office
Borough Republicans will hold a screening event Feb. 24 to interview candidates interested in running for local office.
GOP
Republican central committee members from Dallas and Polk Counties will meet Nov. 8 to nominate a candidate in a special Dec. 11 election.

Are you a Newtown Borough Republican interested in running for local office?
Then mark your calendar for Sunday, Feb. 24, when there will be a screening for Republican candidates beginning at 4 p.m. at the Half Moon Inn.
Candidates are needed for the following local offices:
- Mayor
- Tax collector
- Borough Council (Ward 1, two seats for four years and one seat for two years; Ward 2 one seat for four years)
- Judge of Elections
- Minority and majority inspectors
