Brewfest Set for Oct. 20

The Newtown Brewfest will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Newtown Athletic Club.
The annual event will feature a vast selection of beers, live music and food.
This is the first time the event is being held at the NAC. Holding Brewfest at the NAC, as opposed to the Newtown Swim Club, will offer attendees both indoor and outdoor tastings plus two live music performance stages, organizers said.
General admission tickets are $40. Designated driver tickets are $10. VIP tickets are $70.
VIP ticketholders get access to a private section with gourmet specialty beer samples, an extra hour to sample all beers, a food voucher and t-shirt.
Profits from the seventh annual festival will be used to market Newtown and support economic development opportunities.
