Business Association Expects Crowd for Expo
The Newtown Business Association Expo 2012 will be held Wednesday, September 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Newtown Athletic Club. The expo is free and open to the public.
The Newtown Business Association is gearing up to hold the biggest business expo event in the history of the organization. This will be the 6th year the event has been held.
The NBA Expo 2012 will be held Wednesday, September 12 from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Newtown Athletic Club. The expo is free and open to the public.
This year’s NBA Expo will feature over 70 area businesses. Food samples from local restaurants and grocery stores will be available for those who attend, Jacki Pitkow of the Newtown Business Association told Patch.
Attendees of this year’s expo are eligible to win door prizes from the 70 vendors, Pitkow said. Prize raffles will also be held.
Country music radio station 92.5 WXTU will be broadcasting live at the expo and will be giving away tickets to Carrie Underwood’s upcoming area concert. Spots about the NBA’s expo can be heard on the radio station.
Vendor tables for the “information driven” expo were sold out by mid-August and Pitkow said the NBA expects a large crowd of nearly 500 people attendees this year.
Pitkow said the expo is being held at the Newtown Athletic Center, which is a NBA member, because it is one of the few spaces in Newtown that has enough room to fit the large expo.
She added one of the goals of the event is to let the public learn about local businesses.
