Wednesday, 10 a.m.:
Moments before 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, a gray Honda Civic crashed into the front of the AT&T store in the Goodnoe’s Corner shopping center at the corner of Durham Road and Sycamore Street.
The driver was out of the car when fire crews arrived and refused medical treatment by members of the Newtown Ambulance Squad, according to the Newtown Fire Association.
Firefighters from Engine 55 evacuated the apartments above the AT&T store while the damage to the building was assessed.
Township police are continuing to investigate the crash.
