I voted for President Clinton in 1996 and I'm glad I did. Clinton has called Obama and "amateur" and Clinton was RIGHT. President Obama's people accused Clinton of racism in 2008 and that was dead wrong. Clinton is being a loyal party guy to support Obama.
Obama is no Clinton. Clinton was experienced in governing, Obama is not. Clinton had expertise in economics, in a way that blended good Republican and Democrat ideas. Obama's experience is basically a Liberal faculty lounge on campus.
I'll be fine regardless who wins. Life has been good to me, I'm lucky. But America will have a permanent, poorer under class if America doesnt' change course now.
Romney isn't some scary Falwell Republican. Heck he governed the most Liberal state in America. I'd rather have a guy who has real world experience, both good and bad, instead of a guy who went from campus, to campus, to Chicago thug politics, to the Senate for a few months, and then to the Presidency.
Clinton vs Romney? I'll take Clinton.
Obama vs Romney? I'll shine Mitt's shoes.

If you knew Bill Clinton or ever shook his hand, you know he is a man of the people & he would never support someone who was not looking out for all of US...Clinton is here, there & everywhere because he knows Obama is on the forward looking path to recovery for all, & Romney is a return to failed polices of the economic past & social conservativism that refuses to support equal pay (Ledbetter Act), Healthy Families Act, & Roe v. Wade...because he believes women have the right to be treated fairly & make their own decisions....Go OBAMA
As for Romney...I could never vote for a man who does not even know himself, & hopes by giving so many different positions on practically all issues, people will think he agrees with them & will back their positions even if he has no convictions:
IS today's Romney:
1. Pro-life (2012) or Pro-Choice (Mass)
2. Against bailout (2008) or for it after its succeeds (2012)
3. For Universal Healthcare (Mass) or Against (2012 Primaries) or for unknown goodparts & against unknown bad parts (debates 2012)
4. Against all Obama's Foregign Polices (2012 Primaries) or agree with most of them (Debates 2012)
5. Against FEMA (Primaries & debates) or for FEMA (now that they are needed due Sandy)
The list can go on, but I know people have mainly made up their minds, I only hope and pray for US that it will be Obama, as a return to failed policies under Romney will only be divisive to civility, independence, freedom, economic recovery....

The only fun part is watching the news while Obama is President. Watching people pay higher taxes and in return get a lesser standard of living.
It's cool either way. If the nation votes Obama, it continues to get what it deserves. The last 4 years were fun to watch. Who knows, maybe the next 4 years will be more fun. It's too bad, I wish Obama's party would get majorities in both Houses of Congress. I think the nation needs more hard times, in order to learn a lesson.
Actually, this morning , I've now decided to vote Obama. Done deal. I think America must be punished, in order to be healed in the end.
In the meantime, here's to California towns going bankrupt, more crowded classrooms, and here's a salute to all the businesses sitting on cash, that are NOT hiring due to Obama being in office. May the trend continue 4 more years.

No. Bitter would be threatening riots if my guy loses, like Obama supporters are doind this week. Bitter would be vandalizing buildings, pooping in streets, and meth dosing in the streets like Occupy Wall Street people did many times.
Now, a sense of humor is in a few years....watching Bucks residents getting TAXED on their cushy health benefits.
A sense of humor is, in a few years, watching the elite rich hide their money. So then the I.R.S goes to the poor and middle and discovers there's no money to tax. So then the I.RS goes to the well educated professional and taxes him and her even MORE.
A sense of humor is watching well educated professionals who currently whine about AMT tax liability, seeing their AMT rise! *plus* seeing their health benefits taxed. *plus* having a longer wait time to see a less qualified doctor. *Plus* in return for all those sacrifices, seeing their schools more crowded, more crime, less cops. Pay more, get less.
Bitter? NO.
Learning to laugh, yes.
Oh, all of the above can be found in public policy papers. Anything from the tax bite to doctor shortages can be found in non-partisan public policy papers.

This is stunning: Even though Obama readily states on an unaired portion of his interview with 60 minutes on Sept 15 that it was a terroristic attack, it's clear that both he and his minions changed their story for the next 2 or 3, probably because it went against their message that they won the war on terror.
CBS is complicit since the interview they aired on that Sunday evening contained Obama's attacks on Romney but not the real facts on Obama's read of the incident that directly contradicted Susan Rice's remarks on the 5 morning shows earlier that day including Face the Nation, which is from the same news division! Here CBS comes clean: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57538689/emails-detail-unfolding-benghazi-attack-on-sept-11/
Why would the Obama team do this? It's just plain stupid. The unecessary cover-up was worse than the event itself (except to the 4 dead and their families). The Benghazi killings while being both tragic and serious would not have been much of an enduring story if they didn't create their own story. It happened and considering the risks in the unstable area, it wasn't too surprising or shocking to hear about it in the news, no matter how well protected (or not) the consulate was. I probably would have accepted it as a cost of conducting necessary business in a dangerous place and thank them for their service. Ultimately, this tragedy is irreversible, so why create silly false stories that added nothing. Just foolish.

My point exactly. The question isn't what he said on September 12th - it's what the administration and Obama himself said during the next three weeks when the completely changed the story. And no one can deny that the impression they gave was intentional and completely different. If Obama remarks on September 11th were meant to convey that it was terroristic, then Obama himself contradicted himself multiple times, including his formal prepared speech at the UN. Both he and the administration were given many opportunities to correct the record, and they didn't. Once is a mistake and can be forgiven, but doing it over and over again is contemptible.

Here is where your whole argument falls flat. If the attacks happened because of the video or for some other reason, the attacks were an act of terror. All they did was let the facts get flushed out on the event and for something as crazy as this happening in a place like Libya, for an official declaration on the event to happen within two weeks is actually pretty f'n fast.

I have to wonder what any Romney suporters are thinking. Who knows Romney better than anybody? How about the state who actually voted him in before, as Governor. So let's take a moment to look at how the only state who has any working knowledge about how Romney governs, is voting...
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/ma/massachusetts_romney_vs_obama-1804.html
The average of all polls, whether you believe some to be conservative or liberal leaning, still gives Obama a 20+ point lead. So my question is, why aren't more people paying attention to this? You can't shrug it off that it is MA and they always lean this way, because they voted Romney himself in as a Republican. The reality is that Romney can't even get close in this election in the only state that he has governed before, where the people actually know what you get if you vote for Romney. If he was the success that he pretends to be in MA, don't you think that he would be leading in MA or at the very least, have a close race going on there?
Susan M. Quinn
4:30 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012
Well maybe it's because Mass. is of one the MOST liberal states in our country. So basically the welfare recipients had to get a job, support themselves, and pay their bills. That's why.
Watts
5:17 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2012
A point that would have made sense, if they were not the ones who voted in Romney as a Republican and who voted another Republican, Scott Brown, in to fill Ted Kennedy's seat. MA is not a state of ideologues, no matter how other parts of the country may want to portray it. Scott Brown's race is close, so there is no reason that Romney's wouldn't at least be close, except for the fact that he crapped all over the state once given the chance.
So do you want to pull another empty guess out of your hat or can you accept reality?

People on both sides are full of hate, intolerance, envy, fear etc...that is one good reason for change. We are on a horrible course as a nation. I have never been full of so much fear of what we are becoming. I knew I was in trouble when my president referred to me as his enemy. Too much hate and polarization on both sides. A person should be able to express their opinion and state their support without ridiculous name-calling and assinine conspiracy theories leveled. You can hate Obama all you like, but it doesn't make Romney a better candidate. The GOP failed to put forth a worthy choice, and now their only hope is to marginalize their opponent as best they can, thus appealing to the most extreme fringe of the electorate. It's like common sense has gone out the window. The seeds of the recovery are taking hold, but that simply isn't enough to convince the fringe. @Kelly- your retort to my comment is a perfect example of what I was referring to; very little substance and an abundance of disdain, tho I did enjoy you calling me open-minded and intellectual...even if it appears that your intention was to be sarcastic. There are plenty of moderate republicans who would have been better candidates if the GOP, as a whole, would have gotten behind them. John Huntsman is one that comes to mind. But what was presented to the electorate was mostly a collection of the extreme; Michelle Buchanan, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, and then finally Mitt Romney. Heck, Ronald Reagan would have been considered more moderate compared to them, and at least Ron Paul was courageous enough to stand on his own opinion. It's the GOP's job to find good candidates. Don't blame those you consider liberals for being unimpressed by the crop that they put forth. The GOP is an undefined mess right now. Thats not the other party's fault.

That is simply undeniable. Sure, one could argue that things could be better, but it's disingenuous to imply that Obama's policies are a complete failure, just as it's equally disingenuous to insist that Romney will do it better when his plan for growth begs more questions than answers. @Kelly- denying facts is the essense of a weak position, and is usually motivated by an emotional response which is typically the worst platform from which to form an opinion. Everyone is allowed their position, but that doesn't mean all positions are equal or that some aren't more valuable collectively. Logic dictates. And disagreeing with someone's opinion, based on the logic, isn't a personal attack. That's just the nature of debate.

Then I sincerely apologize if that was not you. The name and the approach to the issue really did feel familiar, but obviously I was mistaken. Please accept my apology.

Interesting board - sort of like the talking points from both campaigns.
Forget the rhetoric and ask youself :
1. Did the President and his administration lie/mislead/etc the public?
2. Would you share a two-man life raft with Obama?
Age has the advantage of having seen or smelled it before. So do your due diligence, analyze the facts, and vote your conscience today - voting is a privledge and a responsibility.

Long lines are great for America....I just hope all VOTES are counted and people know they do NOT need ID to vote this year...only first time voters, no-one else.... Very concerned because I know of some Democrat absentee ballots that are list as unreceived and uncounted, and when asked, they said it was sent in over a week ago... PLEASE be OPEN & FAIR... PLEASE for US
