Corner Bakery Cafe to Open July 11
On opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug and free daily coffee refills for a year.
The Corner Bakery Cafe, a casual dining spot serving a variety of sandwiches, soups and salads, will open to the public on July 11 at 6:30 a.m.
The restaurant is located on West Road, in the building formerly occupied by Blockbuster. It will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug and free daily coffee refills for a year.
The menu offers a variety of selections from breakfast to lunch and dinner. Salads include: Asian wonton, Santa Fe ranch, Caesar, Asian edamame, mozzarella tomato arugula and more.
Grilled paninis include: smoked ham and Swiss, corned beef Reuben, chicken pomodori, a club panini and more. There are also regular sandwiches, including chicken pesto, tomato mozzarella, roasted chicken and more.
Pastas are offered and include macaroni and three cheese, pesto cavatappi, cheese ravioli, penne with marinara and more.
For breakfast, the Corner Bakery Cafe offers egg platters and sandwiches, french toast, oatmeal and yogurt.
The children's menu has everything from sandwiches to pasta.
Menu items range from $3.79 to $7.99.

We lived in TX when I was pregnant and the chicken pomodori panini was my go to sandwich! Can't wait to have it again come July 11th! YAY!

Kara there are people with tents and sleeping bags outside of this corner bakery. I saw 3 tents in the parking lot and at least 8 people in front of the store in sleeping bags. I guess there are some serious coffee drinkers in Newtown.
