Council Rock Administrators Agree to Delay Salary Increases
The Council Rock Administrators’ Association agreed to amend their contract with the district to delay their pay increase.
The Council Rock School District and the Council Rock Administrators’ Association came to an agreement at the Board meeting Thursday night that will delay a salary increase for the administrators.
“This reflects how our administration wants to help the school district in these difficult financial times,” said Mark Klein, Superintendent.
The agreement delays a pay increase to all administrators until the 13th pay period in the 2012-2013 school year.
Among the items listed in the agreement, CRAA members who qualify, and had provided the Superintendent with a letter of intent to retire before June 30, 2012, will not be affected by the change.
Also, CRAA members who have provided the Superintendent with a letter of intent to retire after June 30, 2012, shall be eligible to receive the 4.75 percent performance based adjustments to his/her base salary retroactive to July 1, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.
Members of the CRAA will be allowed to convert up to five unused vacation days to a Tax Sheltered Annuity based on their years of service in Council Rock as an administrator, and their per diem rate of their pay.
“Our administrators came forward to offer a concession to make things better,” said Klein.
This will be the third time in the past four years that the CRAA has made an accommodation in their agreement to defer or change salary terms to help the district.

Thanks for being conscientious, however my boss in private sector, has had to delay pay increases as well because of health care increases, etc., etc., etc.!

Quite amazing. Do they deserve a medal for their sacrifice? These people wouldn't come close to making what they do in the private sector let alone having to fund the majority of their health benefits. Time for a real reality check and have them make some true sacrifices, teachers included.

I don't believe the hogs are devulging their true store, Like what about the BONSUES they took? The Pigs want us to believe they are making concessions . Concessions would be cutting their Pension and Health Care to a 50-50 basis.

4.75 percent raise for what! All they do is prepare students for PSSA testing to get their funds and do nothing to prepare our children for college. What an overly paid and lazy administration. Council Rock High Schools have a principal for every grade and who ever this clown Klein is. The school district is run like the City of Philadelphia and all you residents think your kids are getting a good education. They need to stop bleeding the tax payers and cut back on salaries and benefits and start thinking about the kids and preparing them properly for college.
