Council Rock Recognizes Bus Drivers for Years of Service
Council Rock buses drive 2.5 million miles each year, said Jack Pinheiro, the district’s transportation supervisor.
It’s National School Bus Safety Week and to mark the occasion, the Council Rock School Board recognized seven bus drivers who have served the district for at least 25 years.
During the board’s meeting Thursday, the following drivers were recognized for their years of dedicated service: Pat Shupe, 40 years; Angela Harak, 30 years; Mary Futchko, 30 years; Carol Fawcett, 30 years; Emma Whitlock, 30 years; Jean Boccelli, 30 years; and Andy Senft, 25 years.
Council Rock buses drive 2.5 million miles each year, said Jack Pinheiro, the district’s transportation supervisor. The buses transport students to school 180 days out of the year.
Superintendent Mark Klein commended the drivers and thanked them for their service. “SEPTA would kill for our on-time record in Council Rock and we really appreciate their dedication,” he said.

What about Ruth Cotton ? She was my older sister's and my bus driver and I see her still driving today and she's been there since 73. How come she wasn't recognized?
