Just what Newtown needs more construction, more traffic congestation and less nature. Might as well move to downtown Philadelphia because that is what Newtown is becoming.

I am not sure I understand Kathleen's comment above. Getting rid of an eyesore, providing vital services for senior citizens while expanding the tax base...it's a great trade off!

There are plenty of empty store fronts and buildings that already exist in Newtown. I grew up in Blue Bell when it was cow country and now it is so over built, you can't breathe and the small roads that are similiar to the ones in Newtown can't handle all the traffic. Getting around is a nightmare. People moved here to get away from congestion and traffic. This was supposed to be a small quaint town not a major city.

This is so awesome. What a great way to start the new year. Thank you to all those who got this going. 2012 was an amazing year, getting rid of all the abandoned houses and the old Acme that were all abandoned since I was a senior at North (10 years ago!!). Newtown is such a great place to live and I am glad to see the senior living facility coming to our neighborhood.

These houses (like the old Acme) weren't actually "abandoned," were they? Weren't they bought by a developer years ago, but just never developed?

Next we are getting a trailer park in good old Newtown! Like I said traffic is going to be a nightmare! I hope you like this 2013! You will be crying when your taxes go up to pay for new schools since almost every available piece of land is going to be built on and when it takes you 15 minutes to a half hour to get somewhere that used to take five munutes. Seen the same thing happen in Blue Bell where I grew up.

@ Kathy R, The old age home will not bring more children, Things never stay the same, Push for better roads. The traffic is not that bad considering U R only 15 miles from a major city !
