Don't Forget: First Night is Saturday
First Night, Newtown's annual family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration, will feature live musical entertainment, food, athletic demonstrations, a caricaturist, kids activities and more.
First Night, Newtown’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration, will take place Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. The festivities will be held at Council Rock High School North, with fireworks at Newtown Middle School.
Buttons for the event are on sale for $10 at the following locations: First Federal of Bucks County, First National Bank of Newtown, Newtown Book and Record Exchange, 3rd Federal Bank, Newtown Athletic Club, Action Karate and Shady Book Farm.
The evening will feature live musical entertainment, food, athletic demonstrations, a caricaturist, kids activities and more. For a full list of entertainment, click here to visit the Newtown Corporation website.
Newtown Athletic Club is sponsoring Kid’s Fest, which will feature crafts, inflatables and various entertainment for children.
First Federal of Bucks County is sponsoring the fireworks, which will begin at 10 p.m.
Proceeds from this year's First Night celebration will benefit Newtown D.A.R.E. Recycling and other community programs.
