Eight Citations Issued During Bypass Safety Detail
Police from Newtown Township, Newtown Borough and Upper Makefield checked 14 trucks during a motor carrier safety detail on Wednesday.
Police from Newtown Township, Newtown Borough and Upper Makefield conducted a joint motor carrier safety detail on the Newtown Bypass Wednesday. Eight citations were issued for various violations.
Three trucks were placed out of service due to the extent of the safety violations.
The detail was held in the area of Campus Drive beginning at 6:30 am until noon. Officers stopped and checked fourteen trucks.
