Postponed First Fourth Fireworks to be Held Tonight

The fireworks, originally scheduled for Saturday night, were postponed due to a severe thunderstorm warning.

Newtown's First Fourth fireworks, which were scheduled for last night, were postponed due to a severe thunderstorm warning. The fireworks will instead be held tonight.

A National Weather Service thunderstorm warning that included Bucks County and called for severe wind and hail prompted organizers to postpone the show. First Fourth committee member Paul Salvatore confirmed the cancellation just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday

Tonight's fireworks will be held at Newtown Middle School starting between 9 and 9:30 p.m. All parking will be at Council Rock High School North. From there, attendees can walk down Green Road, which will be closed to traffic. There will also be a shuttle.

Handicapped parking will be available at the middle school.

I enjoyed the fireworks last evening, they were a beautiful display! I only wish that the fireworks were on the actual 4th of July. It would be nice to watch them in my own town rather then travel around to other townships to see fireworks displays. Thank you to those on the First Fourth Committee for the show...
