First Night Newtown, the annual New Year's Eve celebration at Council Rock North, will be held Monday starting at 5 p.m.

The night will feature live music, kids activities, food and fireworks.  The fireworks kick off around 10 p.m. at Newtown Middle School.

The cost to attend it $10.

The theme for this year is "D.A.R.E. to Share."Click here for more information.

"We will be working once again with the local D.A.R.E. program in our schools sponsored by the Newtown Township police and will also be collecting food for families in need," explained First Night organizer Paul Salvatore.
