Fitzpatrick, Boockvar to Debate Thursday

Republican Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick will debate Democratic challenger Kathy Boockvar Thursday at Bucks County Community College's Lower Bucks Campus.

 

Republican Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick will debate Democratic challenger Kathy Boockvar Thursday at the Lower Bucks Campus of Bucks County Community College. The Lower Bucks Campus is located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol.

The candidates are vying to represent the 8th Congressional District, which includes Bucks County and parts of Montgomery County and Northeast Philadelphia.

The debate begins at 11 a.m.

This will be the second of the three debates between the two candidates. The first was held Oct. 18 in Lansdale.

A third debate is scheduled for Friday at 8 a.m. at The Water Wheel Restaurant, 4424 Old Easton Rd, Doylestown. That final debate is hosted by the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Bucks County League of Women Voters.

It's Bookvar that's the lier, she claims to be independent yet when you check her sponsor page there are a few individuals and the rest are unions. Wonder where her votes will lean with? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that she will be a union hack.

Fitzpatrick has voted for jobs, to stop the public funding of political campaigns, to not use tax payers money to fund crony businesses like Solyndra, and against ObamaCare. Speaking of lies - Obama said Obamacare wouldn't be a tax, it is. And it will be costing taxpayers 6 Million dollars (according to the CBO). Obama cut 716 BILLION dollars from medicare to help fund Obamacare. Which is NOT free healthcare - every citizen is required to pay for it. Long waiting lists for surgeries, and doctors appointments? A board of 15 "non medical" members that oversees your healthcare? Employees not able to hire due to Obamacare mandates? Obamacare is not only harmful to our physical health, it's also a fatal economic disease. A vote for Boockvar is a vote for disease. A vote for Fitzpatrick is a vote for the cure.

Mike Fitzpatrick has been a stellar congressman, Fiscally conservative I really appreciate, his attempt to help business in our region excellent, his communication with his constitutions superb. Unless you don't care about the region and just want to replace him with a "D" why consider Bookvar? She must be beholden to the unions as that is who has predominately endorsed her. Rather then a unionist I would rather vote for someone who has accomplished something

Fitzpatrick's campaign ads talk about his 100 meetings with Businesses in 100 days to help create jobs for Bucks County. No jobs have been created but the meetings were probably campaign fundraisers. He was secretly recorded at a Tea Party Fundraiser expressing his real views on the Middle Class. Let's stop signing the front of Fitzpatrick's paycheck and put a woman in the House! Kathy Bookvar will vote for the people who sign the front of a paycheck, the back of a paycheck and for those 24,000 people in Bucks County, who don't sign a paycheck. Fitzpatrick and his Republican controlled Congress haven't done anything for the Middle class in 2 years. Let's protect Medicare, the Affordable Care Act and stop the assault on Women!!!
