Council Rock North boys and girls basketball teams are hosting a "Hoops Mania" night to help fight cancer.
The event, to be held Nov. 24 at 5 p.m., will benefit Coaches Vs. Cancer, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It is free and open to the public.
Coaches Vs. Cancer "empowers basketball coaches, their teams and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer," according to the American Cancer Society website.
Hoops Mania will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Council Rock North's gymnasium. The schedule of events includes an introduction of the 2012-13 teams, a performance by the Council Rock North cheerleaders, a youth community basketball game, an alumni game, kids games and prizes.
