March 19: Newtown Historic Association To Meet

1. Forecasters are predicting another nice day today, with sunshine and temperatures in the low 70s. There is a slight chance of rain at night.
2. The Newtown Historic Association will meet tonight at 8 p.m. at the Half Moon Inn (Centre Avenue and Court Street). The program will feature John Godzieba, the president of the Friends of Washington Crossing. Godzieba will give a presentation on the life of a Revolutionary War soldier and also discuss the effort to raise funds for educational programs and tours at Washington Crossing Historic Park.
3. The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors work session meeting that was originally scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.
4. State Rep. Steven J. Santarsiero is hosting a Farm-to-Table Workshop tonight at 7 p.m. at the Lower Makefield Township Building, 1100 Edgewood Rd, Yardley. The event will be a roundtable featuring the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, the Rodale Institute, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Bucks County Foodshed Alliance and area restaurants that purchase locally. The workshop is free and open to the public.
