Burglary & Missing Teen Reported in Upper Makefield

Upper Makefield police were busy on Wednesday with the funeral of Officer Brad Fox, a burglary and a missing teen.

On the same day Upper Makefield police were handling the thousands of mourners who came to the township to bury a fallen police officer, township authorities were also dealing with a burglary and a missing teen.

Investigators report to BucksLocalNews.com that a home on Mt. Eyre Road was ransacked and several valuable items were taken.

Police described the suspect to the website as a man in his 30s with a squared baby face, broad shoulders and donning a red hat.

Just hours later, police began searching for a missing teenage girl.

Patrol officers, a helicopter and a robocall were used to help search for the missing 13-year-old Wednesday evening, according to a Patch reader.

The teen was found safe a short time later, police confirmed.

Upper Makefield police did not return a reporter's call for more information.
