'Nemo' Could Bring Up to 7 Inches of Snow to Newtown
The latest forecast for Newtown greatly increased the amount of snow predicted in this weekend's winter storm.
Winter Storm "Nemo" could bring 3 to 7 inches of snow to the Newtown area Friday and Saturday.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service predicts little accumulation during the day, but 3 to 7 inches overnight Friday into Saturday.
That is a radical change from an earlier forecast, which predicted far less snow for the Bucks County area.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for southeast Pennsylvania, including the Newtown area at 3:20 p.m. on Thursday. In that bulletin, forecasters predicted 4 to 10 inches of snow, with a trace of ice.
