Newtown Ambulance Driver Reportedly Charged With DUI

According to Phillyburbs, a Newtown Ambulance Squad driver is facing charges of drunken driving after he was in a minor accident while on the job Sunday.

A Newtown Ambulance Squad driver who was allegedly drinking on the job and got into an accident is facing charges, according to a report on Phillyburbs.com.

According to Phillyburbs, driver Nicholas White, 30, of Philadelphia, is facing charges of drunken driving after he was in a minor accident on Route 1 in Middletown Township on Sunday.

The publication reports that no one was injured in the accident but officers who responded noticed he was exhibiting signs of intoxication.

The ambulance was reportedly transporting someone from St. Mary Medical Center.

According to his LinkedIn profile, White has worked for the local squad for two years.

Newtown Ambulance Squad, located on Eagle Road, has been in existence for more than 50 years, according to its website.
