Nancy Mullen, a former Radio City Rockette, celebrated her 100th birthday this week with students at the George School Children’s Center.
Mullen is a Newtown resident who lives with her youngest daughter, a George School Children’s Center teacher.
During the celebration, the students and teachers sang songs and counted to 100 before Mullen blew out the candles on her birthday cupcakes. The students made several presents and presented them to Mullen with their book of birthday wishes and art.
Mullen, born on March 22, 1912, became a Rockette at the age of 19. She was a line dancer for four years and then captain of the line for eight years.
