Plans for Acme Site on Sycamore Street to be Addressed Tonight
The Newtown Township Supervisors work session meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the township Administration Building.
McGrath Homes, which has plans to redevelop the old Acme site on Sycamore Street, will come before the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors tonight to discuss the project.
The work session meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the township Administration Building.
The property, to be called "The Promenade," has been sitting vacant for years, causing frustration among residents and business owners.
Plans previously approved by the township for The Promenade include a mixed-use development with both retail and residential units.

Finally! Let's hope the developers move quickly to either get this site developed or at least demolish it. It's been an eyesore for far too long!

Because we absolutely need more housing in Newtown! I'm fine with it being demolished, but please, no more housing!
