Newtown Township's traffic committee is recommending that the speed limit on some portions of Sycamore Street be reduced from 35 to 25 miles per hour.
However, the Sycamore Street Community Association, which represents the businesses on the street, opposes the idea. Association representatives said a reduction in speed would be detrimental to Sycamore Street businesses. They believe if cars are forced to go slower, drivers will simply avoid the street altogether.
What do you think? Should the speed limit on Sycamore Street be reduced from 35 to 25 miles per hour?
