'Puss In Boots' Tops Area Redbox Rentals

Looking to rent a movie this weekend? Here are the five most-rented movies in our area, according to Redbox.

1. Puss In Boots (PG): This animated action comedy is a spinoff to the Shrek series.

2. The Rum Diary (R): Hunter S. Thompson’s feeble attempt at fiction makes it to movie form. Mad props to Johnny Depp for his commitment to Thompson’s work.

3. Moneyball (PG-13): Real fans of baseball – the stats junkies – will love this story about how those Swingin’ A’s used more math than money to build a winning team.

4. Hugo (PG): This tale of an orphan who's on a quest to unlock a secret from his father is directed by Martin Scorsese and takes place in Paris in the 1930s. 

5. Drive (R): How did Ryan Gosling get cast in this film for the man’s man? Driver is, well, a professional driver - a professional stunt driver who serves as the getaway man on nighttime heists. Cool, right? Well, he falls for a young mother who is somehow wrapped up with the mob. Mob. Fast cars. Love interest. Oh yeah.
