Readers' Choice: Best Park

Newtown has several parks. Which one is best?

We're lucky to live in a community that offers a variety of parks. Whether you head to the park to picnic, let the kids romp on the playground, skateboard or go for a bike ride, there are several options in Newtown. But which park is the best?

The choices are: Tyler State Park, Roberts Ridge Park, Helen Randle Park, Linton Park and Newtown Skate Park.

If you don't see your favorite park listed in the options, please note it in the comments.

Voting will close 9 a.m. Friday and the winning park will be featured later that day on Patch.

Great question to ask, and I hope this raises even more awareness of the amazing park offerings in our own backyard. Obviously, Tyler is by far the largest and most comrpehensive park we have in our community, but sometimes it's that very vastness that can get in the way of a quick recreational break with the kids. With Veterans Park coming on line very shortly, Newtown will have an excellent mix of quiet parks, active recreation, and organized sports.

Brownsburg Park has gorgeous views, a super cool playground with neat equipment, and the Upper Makefield - Newtown Soccer Club plays their games there. Oh, there is also a pavilion and BATHROOMS (YAY!)
