Local Republicans Face Off in Today's Primary
Helen Bosley and Anne Chapman are competing in today's primary election for District 31 of the PA House of Representatives.
Today is primary Election Day and while Mitt Romney may be the presumptive candidate to take on President Barack Obama in the fall, local Republicans still have a reason to head to the polls.
Two candidates, Helen Bosley and Anne Chapman, are competing for the chance to face Democrat Steve Santarsiero in the November election for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Santarsiero represents District 31, which includes Lower Makefield, Newtown, Upper Makefield and Yardley.
Both Chapman and Bosley are residents of Lower Makefield.
Chapman works in the health care marketing research field, most recently having served as Vice President of Strategic Account Management for VPMR, LLC in Kennett Square. Prior to living in Lower Makefield, Chapman and her husband, Harry, resided in Newtown. They have three children who attended both the Council Rock and Pennsbury school districts.
Bosley is the past president of the Lower Makefield Republican Club and the co-founder of Corporate Financial Management Inc., where she serves as a consultant to corporations, nonprofits and government entities.
Bosley earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She has two grown children and has taken on volunteer responsibilities with Abington Memorial Hospital, Girl Scouts, St. Andrew Episcopal Church and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

I like Obama’s idea. I think in today’s times with complex global multiplex issues, both democrat and republican politicians at the levels of Congressman and Senators must have training in their roles and responsibilities. Most are attorneys, and don’t have knowledge in executively managing a state or geographical area and must rely on political advisors to make important decisions, and hence, we the people, all suffer the consequences. For example, how much can A. Schwarzenegger contribute to running California?
Answer to our national dilemma! I think all politicians should have graduate (PHD) degrees in finance, economics, civil engineering, etc. that make them now a value added politician. So when an idea is put on the table, such as let’s deregulate mortgages, 30 to 50 men will have a flag go up in their heads, with follow up discussion on the impact this may have on our future, rather than just sitting there in silence at a caucus or meeting.
We are voting people in public office who are immediately incompetent in their new executive office and must stop this voting scam now!
