School Board Members to Host 'Office Hours'
Some school board members will gather in advance of the budget forum on May 16 so residents can ask questions or express concerns.
The Council Rock School Board held a brief meeting Thursday that opened with a musical performance from students at Newtown Elementary School.
The following topics were discussed during the meeting:
- Some school board members will be holding “office hours” for residents before the start of the budget forum on May 16. Office hours will begin at 6 p.m. and will be a chance for residents to ask questions or express concerns. The budget forum starts at 7 p.m.
- Superintendent Mark Klein announced that the proposed school calendar for 2012-2013, which was initially up for approval Thursday, would be considered at the next board meeting on May 17 at 7:30 p.m.
- The board also had a first read of revisions to its cyber bullying policy. The revisions comply with the Pennsylvania School Code and would define cyber bullying to include the use of social media.
