The annual light extravaganza opens at twilight tonight. It runs until Jan. 6.

It's official. The holidays are here and Shady Brook Farm is ready for the festivities.

The area's most extravagant light show opens tonight at twilight. Shady Brook Farm's 18th annual light show features acres of holiday light displays that you can see from your car or on a carriage ride.

The holiday light show will be open from dusk until 10 p.m. through Jan. 6.

The cost to drive through is $20 per car Monday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, it's $25.

Horse-drawn wagon rides are offered Thursday through Sunday and are $12 per person. Tractor-drawn wagon rides are offered Monday through Wednesday and are also $12 per person.

Wow, Is Shady Brook in competition with NAC. Seems they are the two greediest companys in Buck County. If they were really in the holiday spirit they would offer the light show for free and not profit from making children happy. Is there anything they sell or do to provide for the less fortunate ?? Another sickening case of GREED.
BAAHHH HUMBUG Shady Brook

Sandy, why not just set up your own light show at your house and invite people on your property, free of charge. And while your at it, pay the astronomical light bill! Shady Brook farm is a businesses, which means they need to make money to stay open. If you have a problem with it, just don't go!!

Thank you gentlemen, @ Frank, whats not having a life got to do with anything? Best you could come up with ? I assume you both work for / or own Shady Brook, because who would defend those prices per car??? Seriously, 25.00 a car ?? Now while driving thru folks, do a quick count of cars. I'm sure you can do the math quickly.

I agree that the cost is high but they do a great job with their displays. Why complain about it? That's my point!

Why not, you even agree that the prices are too high. I refuse to pay that to take my grandchildren through. Core Creek offered a beautiful light show for 5.00 a car load. I know you'll say, that was years ago, but in these hard times people would appreciate that price, and Shady Brook would still make a nice profit. That's my point.
