Subway Sued Over Sandwich Length
Two men from New Jersey have sued Subway because they say the footlong sandwiches measure less than 12 inches.
If you're headed to Subway bring your appetite -- and your ruler.
That's if you pay as close attention to the size of your sandwich as two New Jersey men, who are suing the fast food chain because they say the advertised footlong sub is just shy of 12 inches.
According to NBC 10, the lawsuit was filed this week. The plantiffs, John Farley of Evesham and Charles Noah Pendrack of Ocean City, said they measured 17 Subway footlong sandwiches and all were not quite 12 inches.
The NBC 10 report goes on to say the plantiffs are seeking compensatory damages and a change in Subway's practices.

Those two men have nothing better to do then measure sandwiches. What losers!

I agree with these guys, If a company advertises something specific, it should produce that item. This will make more companys aware of false advertising. I don't think they are loser's, they just want what they paid for.

I'm guessing the weight before cooking will exceed the weight after. So weigh it prior, then again after all the fat and grease cooks out. LOL

What if it was an Insurance company? Hospital? Car Manufacture? Health supplies? Wouldn't you want your product to be what it claims to be? I for one, would expect to get everything I paid for and have it be 100%. Doesn't matter if its a piece of gum, or a Mercedes. Hold these companys responsible for their advertising.

But it's not a hospital, insurance company, health supplier... its a sandwich shop, and a gross chain at that. Mom and pop sandwich shops (Becky's deli comes to mind bc we are in Newtown after all) have put out a quality packed sandwich for years and loses business to these schlubs bc they have a gimmick people believe. You get exactly what you pay for. Want crap and to be cheated... go to a chain. You want real food and more bang for you buck. Look at these mom and pop places.
