The Promenade Launches Website

The website features details of the new mixed-use development that is slated for the old Acme site.

Developers of The Promenade, a new mixed-use development slated for the old Acme site, have launched a website that provides details of the project.

The site, www.newtownpromenade.com, provides photos of the Acme demolition, community updates and leasing information. The website confirms that Anthropologie, a women's clothing and accessories retailer, will be the main tenant. No further details about other tenants is provided on the website.

In June, Newtown Township gave final approval for the project, which will feature a total of 20,000 square feet of retail space and 26 one-bedroom apartments.

During the approval process, the applicant said there would be five retail tenants in the development, including Anthropologie. As per a restriction requested by the township, no full-service restaurants with liquor licenses will be permitted in the development.

Last month, the old Acme building, which served as an eyesore for years, was demolished to make way for the new development.
