Newtown Township is accepting resumes for township manager through Friday, Board of Supervisors Chair Mike Gallagher said.

The township's current manager, Joe Czajkowski, will resign from his position come April 1. Czajkowski has accepted a job as township manager for Lower Salford Township in Montgomery County.

Here is an exerpt from the job opening posted on the township's website:  

"The manager is responsible for supervision and coordination of all township operations with a staff of 68 fulltime employees in a union environment. Reports directly to five-member elected Board of Supervisors serving staggered six-year terms. Proven ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of government and an involved citizenry is important. Creative and strategic thinking, proven interpersonal and strong decision-making skills, effective team building, a relentless positive attitude, and ability to promote positive image of community a must."
