At approximately 1:30 a.m., Newtown Township Police were dispatched to the area of Autumn Drive and Windrow Court for a report of an occupied vehicle.  The caller reported that there was a male subject in the passenger seat of a Toyota Rav 4 who was crouching down to hide.  When officers arrived, they located the car, which was no longer occupied.  When the officer ran the tag, it was determined that the vehicle had been stolen out of Lower Makefield Township. The area was secured and officers began attempts to locate the occupants in the vicinity with assistance from surrounding police departments.  Officers discovered that the suspects(s) ransacked vehicles on the street, taking clothing from the cars. The search for the subjects was unsuccessful.  The recovered vehicle was towed to Lower Makefield Township Police Headquarters.  Around 7:30 a.m., a resident of Copperleaf Drive reported that his 2006 Honda had been stolen overnight.  The victim told officers that he parked his unlocked vehicle in his driveway and last saw it at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. Shortly after 8 a.m., a resident of Hartfeld Road, reported that his car was stolen overnight, too.  The victim told police his 2007 Nissan may have been unlocked.  The victim reported that he parked the car in his driveway around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon and it was still there around 11:30 p.m.  Neither victim reported hearing any suspicious noise or activity overnight.  Both stolen vehicles have been entered into the national database for stolen property.
