The 6^th Annual 5K Run/Walk for the Newtown Library Company has been set for Saturday, October 13. The Newtown Library Company, founded on August 9, 1760, is located on Centre Avenue in historic Newtown Borough. The library is a unique educational 501(c)3 non- profit institution as well as a neighborhood treasure.

The event will kick off with a one mile “Children’s Fun Run” scheduled to begin at 9:00am.  The 5K Run/Walk will immediately follow at 9:30.  Both races will start
and finish in front of the Chancellor Street Center at 40 North Chancellor Street in Newtown Borough. In addition, a “Family Fun Activity Day” will be initiated beginning after the completion of the “Children’s Fun Run.”  Scheduled activities include: children’s games, seasonal crafts, live music and Zumba.
