On Sunday, January 13 Newtown Arts Company kicks off its 30^th anniversary season and  live theater gets a boost in Newtown. Theater patrons are invited to Newtown Arts Company’s annual Select Your Seat Party at 1 p.m. at the Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown PA.

Season subscribers and anyone wishing to purchase a season subscription will be treated to wine, soft drinks, chocolate, cheese and live entertainment. This is an opportunity to discover one’s preferred seating for the 2013 season of six live shows produced by Newtown Arts Company at the Newtown Theatre.

Newtown Arts Company’s 2013 season offers more entertainment than ever, including three musicals.

The season opens with “Nunsense” by Dan Goggin in February. Cheaper by the Dozen by Christopher Sergel is slated for April. The season continues with The Odd Couple by Neil Simon in June, Grease by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey in August, Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring in October and Brigadoon by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe in December.

Season tickets for all six shows are $99 for Front Reserved seats and $90 for Rear Reserved seats. Seats in the eighth Row with extra leg room are $159 for the season.

Newtown Arts Company is a volunteer company, a 501C3 nonprofit organization which donates back to the community in the form of service, live theater productions, theater education programs and scholarship grants to graduating high school seniors who plan to further their education in the performing and fine arts.
