The special guest speaker will be John Godzieba, the President of the “Friends of Washington Crossing” who will give a presentation on the life of a Revolutionary War Soldier and also tell about the “Friends of Washington Crossing’s” efforts to raise funds for the Washington Crossing Historic Park educational programs and interpretive tours. Mr. Godzieba portrays General George Washington in the annual crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas Day. Then on New Year’s Eve in the early morning, Mr. Godzieba takes part in a reenactment of the Battle of Trenton. Mr. Godzieba has been involved with Revolutionary War reenactments for 19 years up and down the East Coast. This past Christmas was the 59th annual reenactment of the famed Christmas night river crossing of 1776. This event is sponsored by the Newtown Historic Assocoation
