Chief to be Honored for 25 Years: Tuesday in Newtown

A look at what's going on in Newtown on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Here's a look at what's happening Tuesday, Sept. 10 in Newtown:

  • Newtown Borough Council will honor Police Chief Anthony Wojciechowski for 25 years of service during its regular meeting Tuesday. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Chancellor Center.
  • Borough Council on Tuesday is also expected to discuss adoption of its Act 537 Plan, which dictates how sewage will be handled.
  • Tuesday is Back-to-School Night for Goodnoe Elementary School students in grades K to 3.
  • Have old electronics laying around? Save them for the Newtown Grant Garage Sale, where Council Rock Education Foundation is holding an electronics recycling drive to raise money for the district. Click here for more information. 
  • "Planes" is still showing at the Newtown Theatre; Tuesday's showtime is 7 p.m.
