Grange Fair Opens, Last Call for Grease: Wednesday in Newtown

Here's what's happening Wednesday, Aug. 14 in Newtown:

  • The 65th annual Middletown Grange Fair kicks off Wednesday at the fairgrounds in Wrightstown Township. The fair, which features livestock, food, vendors, rides and more, will be held through Aug. 18. The cost to attend is $10 per car. It's $5 on Sunday.
  • Newtown Arts Company's final performance of "Grease" is Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Newtown Theatre. Click here to buy tickets.
  • Wednesday is the last day to pick up raffle tickets to support local teen Lauren Shevchek, who was paralyzed during a June diving accident. Tickets for the raffle are available at the Newtown Athletic Club. Click here for details.
  • The Newtown Township Board of Supervisors will meet Wednesday and are expected to discuss the future of the Newtown Swim Club. Click here for details.
