Jackpot Balloons to $550 Million, Route 1 Road Work Begins

Here's a look at what's going on in Newtown on Monday, Dec. 16:
- If you commute on Route 1, keep in mind work to repair a bridge in Middletown Township begins Monday. The northbound right lane of Route 1 in Middletown Township will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for details.
- Feeling lucky? Then be sure to get your lottery tickets Monday or Tuesday. There was no winner in Friday's Mega Million drawing and the jackpot has now grown to an estimated $550 million. The next drawing is Tuesday night.
- Keep that snow shovel handy. Forecasters predict we could be in for another round of winter weather Tuesday. Between one and two inches could fall Tuesday morning, according to weather.com.
