Halloween Parade, School Board Candidates Forum

A look at the day ahead in Newtown.

Here's a look at what's happening in Newtown on Wednesday, Oct. 30:

  • Children ages 3 to 6 are invited to a Halloween Parade hosted by Newtown Township Parks and Recreation. The event will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Newtown Township Complex, 100 Municipal Dr. Children will visit various township departments, including the police, emergency services, public works, administration and more. There will be trick-or-treating so bring a bag for snacks. The event is free, but registration is required.
  • The PTO at Maureen M. Welch Elementary School is hosting a Meet the Candidates Forum Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the school's library. Both candidates, Mark Byelich and Ed Mayer, will be in attendance. For more information and to RSVP, click here.
  • There is a toddler and preschool story time at the Wrightstown Library Wednesday morning. The toddler story time begins at 10 a.m.; the preschool one starts at 10:30 a.m. Click here to register.
