Newtown Business Expo: Wednesday in Newtown

Here's a look at what's happening Wednesday, Sept. 18 in Newtown: 

• Newtown Business Association is holding its Business Expo Wednesday at the Newtown Athletic Club. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the free event, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. It will feature free food samples from 10 area restaurants.
• It's Back to School Night for grades 1 to 3 at Newtown Elementary School Click here for details.

• Registration is now open for Newtown's Halloween Art Scene event, which will feature window painting, scarecrow making and more. Click here for details.
• "The Mortal Instruments" is playing at the Newtown Theatre. Showtime is at 7 p.m.
