PHILADELPHIA, PA/NEWTOWN, PA - The Moscow Ballet and The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts are looking for boys and girls ages 6-18 to perform with the Moscow Ballet for a performance of The Great Russian Nutcracker at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia on December 6, 2014! This is a unique experience for aspiring dancers that allows them to work and perform with The Moscow Ballet, a professional ballet company.

*All auditions are held at PSPA Studios – 2324 Second Street Pike, Newtown, PA 18940*
Monday & Wednesday, August 18th and 20th – Ages 8-11 from 1:00pm-2:00pm
Tuesday & Thursday, August 19th and 21st – Ages 12+ from 1:00pm-2:00pm
Saturday, September 6th – Ages 6-18 from 12:00pm-2:00pm
Saturday, September 13th – Ages 6-18 from 12:00pm-2:00pm
Dancers must have at least one year of ballet training. The auditions will consist of a ballet class with barre, center, and across the floor.
Boys Attire: White T-shirt, Black shorts OR Black sweat pants, white socks OR ballet shoes.
Girls Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes (pointe shoes if on pointe), ballet bun.
The Moscow Ballet will be performing The Great Russian Nutcracker all across North America this holiday season. Dancers will be selected to perform as Party Children, Mice, Snowflakes, Angels, and many more roles in The Nutcracker on December 6th at 3:00pm at The Tower Theater in Philadelphia. All auditions and rehearsals will be held at The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts in Newtown, PA.
This fall, The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts is celebrating their 20th year with brand new classes and this wonderful opportunity to dance with The Moscow Ballet. PSPA is dedicated to providing a performance-based education in a non-competitive environment. New students and families are warmly invited to visit PSPA during their Fall Registration Open House: July 14-18 from 10am-2pm, August 18-21 from 2pm-6pm.
