School of Rock Newtown Summer Camps Begin

July 10, 2014 – School of Rock Newtown gets into gear this Monday with its first week-long Summer Camp Session for 2014. Through School of Rock Camps students experience music in a fun, hands-on atmosphere, learning performance and the art of being in a rock band. Students are assigned classic rock songs and engage in daily group workshops covering music theory, rehearsal techniques, performance practice, and group band rehearsals leading up to the all-ages rock show performance on the last day of camp. The Classic Rock Performance Camps are offered July 14th through 18th and August 11th through 15th. The July 21st session is sold out.

From August 18th through 22nd an Art of Recording Camp is being offered where students will learn everything from wiring and mic placement to mixing down and mastering tracks.

Space is limited but there’s still some time to get into the groove this summer! For more information and a convenient online registration form visit https://newtown.schoolofrock.com/camp-signup.
